![]() Want to improve your ability to speak French outside of a classroom setting? Need to brush up your French for a holiday or business trip? Looking for opportunities to practise your French? Emmanuelle offers a number of ways that can help you:
1. Conversation sessions
Conversation sessions are, as the name implies, face-to-face discussions between you and Emmanuelle. A reasonable knowledge of spoken French (intermediate and above) is however expected. Though informal, the session is structured around a pre-selected topic as the focus of the conversation, which can be supplemented by material from relevant newspapers and magazines. There is little homework involved except for reading the article sent to you beforehand.
Ideally the session is for one person only, but you could come with a friend or family member providing that he or she has a similar level of spoken French. Typcally each session is one hour long, but could be longer or shorter (30 mins minimum) to suit your particular circumstances. Conversation sessions can be booked either individually or, for example, in a block of six. 2. Crash course
![]() The frequency of the lessons will be determined by your initial level of French, the level you wish to attain and of course the time that you have available. Typically a minimum of two or three, 1-hour sessions per week is recommended. Again, as for the conversation sessions, you may come with a colleague, friend or family member providing that you have the same objectives and are at a similar level of spoken French. 3. Le Club du Poivrier
Le Club du Poivrier is a French conversation club, facilitated by Emmanuelle, that meets twice a month at Malvern's brasserie Pepper & Oz. See the Pepper & Oz website for further information.
4. La Jolie Ronde
![]() Emmanuelle is currently teaching at one of the local primary schools in Malvern, but external sessions unconnected with any school can also be organised given a sufficient number of children. If you are interested, please contact Emmanuelle for further details. |
